 Thomas Michael Coletti has lived most of his life in the Norwich, Connecticut area. He has been married to Donna Jean for 38 years. He has four grown children and two grandchildren. Jennifer, his illustrator, is married to Paul Harren. They have two children, Katie and Sean. Kimberly, Crystal and Michael, completes his family,

  Tommy graduated from Norwich Free Academy in 1967. He enlisted into the USAF in 1968 and spent four years as a medic. He was honorably discharged in 1972 and went to college on the G.I. Bill. He received an AS from Mohegan Community College, Norwich, in 1974, and a BA from Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic in 1976.

  He applied and was accepted to law school but declined admission to work one year at the Electric Boat Shipyard (EB) in Groton, until his wife gave birth to their first child. He remained there as subsequent children were born. He has been there for 35 years and plans to retire in August of 2011.

He enlisted into the United States Air Force and spent four years from 1968 until 1972 as a medic. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Mr. Coletti attended college on the GI Bill and received a Bachelors Degree, with Cum Laude distinction, in History from Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic, Connecticut in 1976. Mr. Coletti is also a member of the Knights of Columbus, an American Legionnaire.

 

He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Donna Jean, for 38 years. He applied to law school and was accepted; however, he decided to work for one year at the Electric Boat Shipyard (EB) in Groton, Connecticut until his wife gave birth to their first child. He remained there as subsequent children were born every three years thereafter. He has been employed at EB for 34 years.

 

Mr. Coletti has a passion for literature and has already penned four novels and a children’s illustrated book. At age 60, he took a leap of faith and submitted his first publication, "Special Delivery",: to HW Publishing ,and it was accepted.  With great pride he says, “I can now scratch "getting published" off of my bucket list”.

 

Mr. Coletti has four grown children, Jennifer, Kimberly, Crystal, and Michael. In the last five years he has been blessed with two grandchildren, Katie and Sean.
